Xsan 2.2: Windows client unable to copy item from share point via SMB when native extended attributes are enabled

With Xsan 2.2 or later, Xsan volumes can be created or updated to use native extended attributes. If native extended attributes have been implemented on an Xsan volume, Windows users connecting over SMB may receive a message stating that an item can’t be copied from the share point because the item can’t be found. Mac OS X Server may classify some inbound messages sent on or after January 1, 2010 as spam

Mac OS X Server v10.5 and 10.6 use SpamAssassin to filter “spam” from inbound messages; SpamAssassin includes a rule that increases the spam score for any inbound message sent on or after January 1, 2010. This increased score may cause some inbound messages sent on or after January 1, 2010 to be inadvertently filtered as spam. (more…)
